LOW
Good for lighter surfers and good quality waves. It allows you to use a lot rail to turn. Disadvantage's if it not clean or a little fuller you lose speed.
MID
Very common rail suited to all conditions. This rail will work in both beaches and points and give good speed and turning ability.Allows you to surf a larger range of conditions, the rail has enough foam to take choppy waves with out slowing the board down. Still easy to penetrate the wave, the most common rail at the moment.
HIGH
Works well for heavier surfers because of the extra thickness in the rail, paddles better and more forgiving. If your a heavier surfer it allows you to get the same performances as a lower rail for a lighter surfer. The higher rail the more buoyancy giving stability and less chance of the rail catching. Also great for beginners or intermediate surfers because its forgiving at lower speeds
